Hotel du Vin Wedding Photography

Hotel du Vin is a landmark Victorian building nestled in Birmingham’s fashionable Jewellery Quarter.  One of the finest Birmingham hotels Hotel du Vin is a fantastic wedding venue in the heart of the vibrant city, and an equally fantastic backdrop for your Hotel du Vin wedding photography.  So, if you’re currently planning your Hotel du Vin wedding or are considering this fantastic venue then read on.  I will be answering some questions for you.

Does Hotel du Vin have any outside space?

Hotel du Vin has a welcoming open-air courtyard at the heart of the hotel.  It has a retractable roof and creative sculptures giving it a fantastic al fresco feel and allowing it to blend indoors and outdoors seamlessly.   The courtyard is the perfect space for reception drinks and canapes and as it is flooded with natural light (Don’t get any West Midlands photographer onto the subject of natural light.  We’re obsessed!) which when I’m shooting Hotel du Vin wedding photography allows me to get amazing images of my brides and grooms and their guests.

I’m planning a small wedding. Will Hotel du Vin cater for that?

Hotel du Vin’s boutique feel and cosy yet grandeur rooms make it ideal for intimate weddings.  There are four rooms available for weddings.  Sassicaia seats up 24 guests for a wedding breakfast and 35 for a reception.  It has unique features such as wooden floor boards, an original fireplace and a bespoke mural on the wall.  Ideal for a small and intimate wedding.  Even smaller is Opus One a stunning and intimate private dining room that seats just 15 people.  With luxurious décor and amazing lighting, it also offers direct access onto the courtyard.  Opus one is perfect for a small private wedding breakfast or for the rehearsal dinner.   Lombard is a room with charm and character that can seat up to 40 guests, and the largest of the rooms Belle Epoque has a stunning and elegant mirrored hall flooding the room with natural light.  It can seat up to 84 guests.  The very experienced team at Hotel du Vin will help you choose the perfect room/rooms for your wedding.

Do Hotel du Vin wedding packages include anything for free?

When you book your wedding with Hotel du Vin you will be placing yourselves in very safe hands.  In addition to what you pay for in the three wedding packages (prestige, sublime and classic) you will you be given your own dedicated personal wedding co-ordinator, you will get to meet your wedding host in advance to talk about how they will ensure your day runs perfectly.  You will also get to meet with their sommelier to plan your wine list and attend a menu tasting (including wine).  Hotel du Vin even offer you a free upgrade if you choose to stay over the night of your menu tasting (that sounds perfect!)  Sometimes you hear people saying that planning their wedding was stressful.  Those people clearly didn’t book their wedding at Hotel du Vin!

Can I get ready at Hotel du Vin?

Hotel du Vin have some stunning spacious suites that would be ideal for your bridal preparations and are large enough for you, your bridal party, your hair dresser and make-up artist and, of course, your wedding photographer! Oh, and some medicinal bubbly as well!  Hotel du Vin have an on-site spa so you could get in some serious relaxation and pampering before the big event.

How do I choose my Hotel du Vin wedding photographer?

Firstly, I’ll say what I’d say to all brides and grooms.  Check out their website.  Do you like their style of photography? After all, your Hotel du Vin wedding photography is the end-product and key to your wedding memories.  Do they have any experience of being a West Midlands wedding photographer at Hotel du Vin?  Are there testimonials from happy clients on their website?  Will they allow you to speak to their previous clients?  A professional photographer will not only have all the right equipment, they’ll have back up equipment as well.  There will be a contract to protect you and you’ll be able to relax knowing you’re in safe and experienced hands.  When it comes to shooting wedding photography at Hotel du Vin if they haven’t shot weddings there before ask them if they intend to visit the venue before your wedding day.

So that concludes my blog about weddings at Hotel du Vin.  I hope it has been helpful.  If you’re currently planning your Hotel du Vin wedding photography and are looking to book a West Midlands wedding photographer then get in touch.
