Tom & Jessica’s Hogarths Solihull Wedding Photography
It was a wonderfully sunny day in March 2022, just on the brink of springtime, when I was invited to provide the Hogarths Solihull wedding photography for Jessica and Tom’s wedding day. Hogarths has two stunning wedding venues – one in Stone Manor near Worcester and one in Solihull nearer Birmingham. It’s amazing how many wedding venues like Hogarths Solihull are tucked away within 15 miles of Birmingham.
Everything about Hogarths is elegant and inviting, and the team are extremely friendly and welcoming. One of the first things I noticed when beginning to photograph Jessica and her friends on the wedding morning was the hand-written note from the team wishing the couple all the best for the big day ahead.
My day doing Hogarths Solihull wedding photography started out by photographing the venue and grounds – which I was looking forward to exploring later. Jessica and Tom had chosen an Outdoor Civil Ceremony, and of the five woodland locations to choose from on the grounds they’d opted for the Island House.
After photographing all the excitement of the wedding morning, I headed out and down the woodland path in search of the idyllic location Jessica and Tom were to be married in. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing many outdoor wedding services over the years, and the Island House is certainly one of the most magical I’ve come across. I would love to visit this location again as a Hogarths Solihull wedding photographer.
Soon Tom and all the wedding guests began to arrive and with everyone happily seated, I went back to join Jessica as she made her way down the gravel path and through the woodland. They both looked wonderful together as they sat in front of the Island House, hand in hand in the early spring sunshine.
Their order of service featured two logos. The first: Chelsea football team. The second was a crest – which fans of J K Rowling’s Harry Potter are sure to recognise.
There was a definite blue and white theme that ran seamlessly throughout their wedding day from the bridal bouquet and the personalised bunting hung from the timbers, to the wedding reception décor later on.
After exchanging rings and making their vows, Jessica and Tom made their way back down the aisle. And there were plenty of bubbles to greet them! Along with a celebratory glass of champagne.

Next came the traditional family and friends photos, and then it was time to set off and explore some of Hogarths’ 27 acres of woodland and countryside with the newlyweds. There were so many locations to choose from – we really were spoilt for choice!
The range of options for outdoor photography made my time as a Hogarths Solihull wedding photographer all the more exciting. From gravel paths dappled with sunlight, shady spots by the lake and stone courtyards, Hogarths has so much to offer. It’s charming and magical and bursting with possibilities. But I think my favourite location for doing Hogarths Solihull wedding photography, if I had to choose, would be the ivy and moss-covered stone bridge that stretches over the river.
With the sun beginning its descent, we made our way back to the main house and I headed inside to photograph all the details of the wedding reception before the guests arrived. The reception took place in The Garden Suite, a brilliantly bright space that overlooks the grounds.
Again, the blue and white theme was perfectly balanced. The tables were named after members of Chelsea football team (including Frank Lampard, John Terry and Didier Drogba) with Jessica and Tom seated at the Gianfranco Zola table. Favours included Jelly Tots and mints, accompanied by bottles of Peregrino Merlot.
The wedding cake was spectacular too – minimalistic with marbled blue, white and silver icing.
Speeches were given, toasts made, and plenty of laughter and memories shared. After the cutting of the cake, Jessica and Tom made their way onto the dancefloor for their first dance. Illuminated by the glow of pink lights, they twirled and smiled together, and when the live band started up it was time for everyone else to join in.
Thank you to Jessica and Tom for inviting me to photograph your special day. It was a pleasure, and I thoroughly enjoyed doing your Hogarths Solihull wedding photography. Wishing you both all the very best and every happiness for the future! Cheers!
