Sarah & Mark’s Wedding Photography At Weston Hall

Shooting wedding photography at Weston Hall is always special, but more so when I get to work with great couples like Sarah and Mark. Weston Hall is a fantastic wedding venue located in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside. This magnificent grade II listed building surrounded by 20 acres of breath-taking scenery gives me so many opportunities to take great shots of my clients which is why I always enjoy returning to shoot wedding photography at Weston Hall.

On the day I arrived nice and early so that I could take some shots of Sarah as she made her preparations in one of Weston Hall’s beautiful rooms. She was in good hands with her bridal party who were in good spirits (there was a bit of bubbly on hand which no doubt helped things along!) Sarah looked amazing in a gorgeous lace detail dress giving a great silhouette for my portrait shots.

I also took the chance to take a few shots of the venue all dressed and ready for Sarah and Marks day. I love winter weddings and Weston Hall was the perfect choice. The hall retains many of its original Elizabeth features including open stone fireplaces and oak beams. So the large traditional Christmas tree and fire side decorations looked very much in place with the setting. This combined with chic white linen and elegant chandeliers on the tables, gave the hall a decadent feel. Now I love funny little touches at weddings, they really show the couples personalities and at Sarah and Mark’s it was the table names. Each of the tables were named after one of Father Christmas’s reindeer.

Now I had strict instructions to snatch a photograph of the three delightful page boys before they got mucky! So I did (I even managed to get more than one shot) and I’m sure you’ll agree they were handsomest three men there (Mark you came a close fourth!) Having them lay a bed of white feathers from the top hats was a delightful addition to the ceremony. Well done boys for performing your duties so well! I then caught up with Mark and his best man who were having a drink with guests down in the bar.

After a beautiful ceremony with live musical accompaniment during the signing of the register, all the guests enjoyed a drinks reception and I quickly whisked Sarah and Mark outside for some portrait shots set around the lovely grounds of Weston Hall. Before everybody else came out for the some formal and fun group and family shots.

Then it was onto the reception that saw Sarah and Mark enter to rapturous applause and seated at the top table (the table displayed photographs of Sarah’s and Mark’s parents on their weddings days which was a lovely tribute.) After a sumptuous wedding breakfast and some very well received speeches it was onto the cutting of the cake (an impressive four tier creation)

I captured the first dance where Sarah and Mark beamed their smiles on the dance floor and were shortly joined by many of their family and friends, which was the start of much merriment going well into the evening.

The perfect winter wedding full of love and laughter. Congratulations to Sarah and Mark for getting married and creating such a memorable day for yourselves, your family and your friends. Thank you for asking me to provide your wedding photography at Weston Hall, I hope my images enable you to relive it again and again for many years to come.
