Scott - A West Midlands Wedding Photographer

Hi, I’m Scott, thanks for visiting. I am a Birmingham and West Midlands Wedding Photographer based in Sutton Coldfield.  I provide friendly and relaxed wedding photography to couples across Birmingham, the West Midlands, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire and beyond.

You’re probably here because you; have recently become engaged (congratulations!), are in the throws of planning your wedding, and searched for “wedding photographer Birmingham” or “wedding photographer West Midlands”! So let me share a few of my thoughts on how to choose your ideal West Midlands and Birmingham Wedding Photographer.

Choosing Your West Midlands Wedding Photographer

When I talk to couples about choosing their Birmingham and West Midlands Wedding Photographer, I believe there are two main factors to consider. Photography style and Photographer personality.

If you can spare ten minutes to have a look around my website, you should find enough information and sample photographs to go a long way towards deciding whether I could possibly be the right Wedding Photographer for your big day.

Photography Style

For most people, photography style is the most important factor when choosing their West Midlands Wedding Photographer. After all, your wedding photographs are the end product which will stay with you forever.

My photography style combines a modern yet natural and relaxed approach. I will try to take most of your photographs without interrupting you or your guests. In fact most of the time you won’t even be aware that I’m photographing. I will simply mingle with the guests and photograph the wedding as it naturally unfolds.

A picture says a thousand words, so please take a look at my wedding photography portfolio page, and see if you can picture yourself here someday!

Photographer Personality

The personality of your West Midlands Wedding Photographer is also important. After all, you are inviting them to share a very special day with you …all day.  So it’s important to choose someone whose personality you like, someone who can make you feel relaxed in front of the camera. I’m almost like having another guest at the wedding, and I’ll probably end up helping with button holes and other weddingy things.

I am happy to pop around for a chat, or we can meet up for a coffee and talk about my Birmingham and West Midlands Wedding Photography (though I appreciate this isn’t always possible if you live some distance away). You’ll find that I’m very easy to get on with and will make your wedding photography experience easy and enjoyable. But don’t just take my word for it, read some of these lovely comments from previous couples.

We are so impressed with all the photos, we can’t believe how well you have captured our day! There are so many favourites it’s hard to choose!! The confetti photos are amazing as are the photos in the hallways. Thank you again so much!

Lucy & Tom

The photos are absolutely amazing. It was quite emotional looking through them and also hilarious as the photos go onto the evening. We love them. Thank you so much for capturing our day for us.

Charlotte & Daniel

Highly recommend Scott. We loved the photos and many of our guests commented on how beautiful they are. Scott was totally professional, even in the heat when it was like herding kittens with our wandering guests. We also purchased the album which is stunning and loved the way he arranged…

All Day Wedding Photography - Wedding Photographer Birmingham

I’m a big advocate of all-day wedding photography, from getting ready in the morning to getting drunk in the evening.

This is because I am documenting your wedding day story, and your story lasts the whole day, not just the formal bit in the middle. Wedding photography is all about documenting emotions, the emotions of yourself and the people special to you. Most of my favourite photographs happen during the start and the end of the day, as each end of the day brings different emotions. The nerves and excitement during the morning, and the celebration, in the evening.

The other benefit of all-day West Midlands wedding photography packages is that you don’t have to worry about the wedding running behind schedule and then having to ask your Wedding Photographer if he can stay longer. From my experience, most weddings run behind schedule by an hour or more, so this is a scenario you should give consideration when planning and booking your Birmingham and West Midlands Wedding Photographer.

Of course, if you really don’t want or need all-day wedding photography then that’s OK, I can put together a half-day package for you, or something more bespoke.
